Recent Projects
Check out a few of our most recent projects — patios, walkways, fireplaces, walls, and more. Each project reflects the quality and care we bring to every job.
Flagstone Patio with Built-in Fire Pit & Stone Seating
The patio is paved with irregular flagstone in tan, brown, and gray, laid with tight joints and sealed for a durable, easy-care surface. A square built-in fire pit sits near the center, built with light rough-hewn stone and a dark slate coping; the interior is lined with fire brick for safe, long-lasting use.
Low stone walls along one side double as seating and retaining elements. They use the same light stone as the fire pit, with dark flat coping (slate or bluestone) for a consistent look and comfortable seating height. The patio meets a lawn at the back, with trees and a lattice fence in the distance, so the space works as an outdoor room between house and yard.
Radius Brick Staircase with Retaining Walls & Railings
This project is a curved (radius) brick staircase that connects a lower patio to the upper driveway and garage. The staircase is built in traditional brick with a smooth radius, and the same brick is used for flanking retaining walls that follow the curve of the steps, so the stairs and walls read as one continuous hardscape.
Custom black metal handrails run on both sides of the staircase for safety and clear definition of the path. The handrails are supported by substantial brick pillars; each pillar is capped with a lamp fixture to light the steps and entry at night. At the bottom of the stairs, a brick paver path continues from the steps into the garden. Low, trimmed shrubs line the lower brick wall, and planting beds with mulch and mixed perennials sit beside the path. A stone retaining wall in the background separates the garden from the slope behind. The layout keeps the focus on the radius staircase and brick work while tying the hardscape into the existing landscape. The scope included the curved stair and walls, handrails and lamp pillars, and the connecting paver path, using traditional masonry and materials for a durable, low-maintenance entrance.
Riverside Drive Patio & Walkway
We designed and built a custom paver patio and walkway for a Riverside Drive residence, using a herringbone pattern for the main area and a soldier-course border to define the edges. The brick was chosen to match the existing entry walk so the new work reads as one continuous hardscape. The scope included a short retaining wall along one side, topped with cap stones for seating and a clean finish.
Work started with site prep and grading. We installed a compacted gravel base, set the pavers to the correct pitch for drainage, and finished the joints with polymeric sand to limit weeds and keep the surface stable. The result is a durable, low-maintenance patio and walkway that ties the front entry to the backyard and gives the homeowners a clear path and usable outdoor space.
